Custom Curtains North East
Got questions about made to measure curtains? We’ve answered some of the most common queries, from choosing the right accessories to tips on making window curtains for home appear larger. If you’re still unsure or want some expert guidance, our Sunderland-based team is just a call or message away.
What accessories are available?
Curtains can be accessorised with matching tie-backs, either piped or unpiped, or hold-backs which are part of the tracks and poles range.
Can you make a window appear larger?
It’s a trick of the eye but if there is enough wall space either side of the window, then add an extra 35-45cm to the length of the curtain pole. This way the Curtains sit wider than the window when pulled back, giving a bigger view of the outside.
HOW IS IT BEST TO COORDINATE COLOURS?
Decide if you are coordinating designs or colours. If designs, choose similar patterns but in different sizes. You can also pick out a single element in the curtain design and replicate it in the blinds.
If you choose to coordinate a colour palette, then choose a dominant colour from the curtain pattern and bring it through in the blinds.
What curtain heading styles do you offer?
We offer three main heading styles: pencil pleat for a classic gathered look, eyelet for a modern finish with smooth folds, and pinch pleat for a tailored, elegant effect. Each style creates a different shape and suits different rooms.
Can I use blackout lining with my curtains?
Yes, we offer blackout linings that block external light and add thermal insulation – ideal for bedrooms, nurseries, or south-facing rooms. Just let us know your preferences when placing your order.
